Mark your calendar: Friday, July 19th, at 7 PM (Brasília time). We will be hosting a special live stream with Rato Borrachudo and other streamers to test Tales of Shadowland! This event aims to stress test our servers by having as many players as possible simultaneously online, and to review the game's current gameplay. The live stream will be broadcasted on Rato Borrachudo's YouTube channel.
Why is this test so important?
Stress tests are crucial for an MMORPG for several reasons. First and foremost, they help ensure that the servers can handle a large number of players without crashes or performance drops. In an MMORPG, the gaming experience heavily relies on the stability and capacity of the servers, especially when many players are online simultaneously.
Conducting these tests allows the development team to identify stability and scalability issues. Problems such as high latency, frequent disconnections, and slow performance can be detected and addressed before the official game launch. This is essential for providing a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience for all players.
Moreover, stress tests help assess the efficiency of the code and server infrastructure. They enable developers to see how the system behaves under maximum pressure, ensuring that necessary optimizations are made to improve overall performance. This includes balancing server load, optimizing database queries, and improving resource management.
For players, participating in a stress test is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the game's development. By playing during these tests, you help create a realistic environment for evaluation, providing valuable feedback that can influence future improvements and updates for Tales of Shadowland.
So, don't miss this chance to be part of this crucial moment for Tales of Shadowland. Join us for the live stream, test the game, interact with the streamers, and help us make this MMORPG the best it can be. See you on Friday, July 19th, at 7 PM, on Rato Borrachudo's YouTube channel!
