HI EVERYONE!
It makes me very happy to see that you’re enjoying the game. We’re currently sitting at 98% positive reviews,
We’ve reached 1,500 copies sold on Steam, and we’re still selling 100+ copies daily. Thank you so much for your support and for your messages about how you’re having a blast with the game and already looking forward to the next one.
The game version has gone from 1.000 to 1.008, with some kind of patch released almost every day. Please keep reaching out with any issues so I can fix them.
ACHIEVEMENT UPDATE:
Achievements and secrets are a huge part of the game. Multiple players have told me that achievements in SECTOR ZERO feel like a hidden game within the game which is really great to hear, as that was exactly what I was originally going for.
There were still a couple of achievements that could have been more interesting or provided better player feedback, but I didn’t have enough time to polish everything before release.
Almost all achievements have now received some kind of improvement. Such as additional sound effects, visual effects, or environmental reactions.
A good example is the “Potato” achievement, which can be unlocked by setting the graphical quality to the lowest possible setting. Originally, this simply unlocked the achievement, but now there’s more environmental feedback (400 potatoes falling from the sky). ːGiveHugː
FUTURE PLANS:
I’m already working on getting Steam Deck Verified status for SECTOR ZERO. This might take another week or two, depending on how quickly Steam Support responds.
I would also like to look into supporting Linux but no promises just yet.
There are also a couple of user experience issues remaining, such as players having trouble finding the axis switch option, or players having trouble finding the language change icon in the main menu. So I will be also looking into these things in the upcoming updates.
COMMUNITY EVENTS:
Very soon, I’ll also be starting regular community challenge events, updated weekly or bi-weekly depending on how many of you decide to join in! ːp2cubeː
The first challenge will include a hidden object in every level. The first person to find it, take a screenshot, and post it in the dedicated thread in the Steam Discussions will receive a free copy of SECTOR ZERO for their friend.
You’ll also earn points with every community challenge. These points will be displayed along with your username on a big board in the secret party room, for eternity and beyond. ːsteamhappyː
I’ll share more details in a dedicated news post soon!
Keep being awesome and thanks again for all the support!
