Update v1.07 — The Game Keeps Getting Better
We've been hard at work, and the game keeps getting better with every update.
Since launch, we've shipped fix after fix based on your reports and feedback — improving stability, localization, performance, and the moment-to-moment experience. Version 1.07 continues that work. Thank you to everyone who has reported issues and helped shape these improvements.
Version 1.07 — Latest
Fixed an issue that could cause one player's monocle to fail to load correctly, particularly for players on slower connections.
Added persistence to the dumbwaiter to prevent items from disappearing if the network connection was lost before the receiving player picked them up.
Fixed an issue where lowering the resolution in fullscreen could make the screen appear darker on some systems.
Fixed a bug in the calculator where one of the keys couldn't be pressed using the secondary input method (mouse).
Fixed a minor bug where solving the final lock in the game caused the camera of the player who didn't solve it to animate incorrectly.
Improved the success-feedback sound in the globe puzzle, giving players clearer audio cues about their progress as they solve it.
Version 1.06
Fixed a localization bug at the end of the game where the ending text failed to render correctly in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Russian.
Removed a feature that caused some of your partner's interactions to be heard on the opposite side, as it could be confusing.
Fixed a bug where placing the winding key and the automaton's pen too quickly stopped the pen from writing the clue.
Fixed a bug where the solution message for the gem and alchemical flask box puzzle was shown to both players instead of only the one solving it.
Fixed a localization bug where the dumbwaiter instruction messages appeared only in English.
Fixed a bug that allowed the volumetric key in the blue box of the twins' room to be taken before solving its puzzle.
Adjusted the size of some items that appeared too large in the dumbwaiter.
Adjusted some puzzle-solving sounds to improve the clarity of the interaction.
Fixed a bug that displayed the wrong game objective when approaching the mansion's main door.
Version 1.05
Fixed mouse camera movement that could stutter or jump on high or uncapped framerates — the camera now moves smoothly regardless of frame rate. This was most noticeable on high-end GPUs.
The lobby Start button now reads "Continue" when you return to a session that's already in progress, to make it clear that your progress is saved. If you rejoin the same session with the same partner, your inventory, solved puzzles, and progress are all still there.
Fixed two localization issues where prompts for two doors in Act 3 were displayed in Spanish.
Earlier updates (v1.01–v1.04)
The first wave of updates focused on critical launch stability: sealing doors that could push players out of the map, fixing puzzle persistence and progress after rejoining, adding ultrawide monitor support, fixing the Russian (Cyrillic) localization, resolving the Act 1 performance issue, correcting several puzzle bugs across all acts, and adding ambient music to Act 1.
What's Next
We're not stopping here. Our ongoing roadmap includes:
Clearer feedback on which player a puzzle reward belongs to in co-op.
An automatic unlock for essential items in later acts, so progression items can never be missed.
A full pass on the game's audio to balance and level all sounds for a more consistent experience.
Continued ultrawide display improvements (camera field of view and UI refinements).
Continued performance improvements across the game.
Coming back for another look?
If you played at launch and ran into problems, the game is in a dramatically better state now. We'd love for you to jump back in and experience it the way it was meant to be played — and if your experience has improved, we'd be grateful if you'd consider revisiting your review. It makes a real difference for a small team like ours.
Thank you for playing, and for being part of this journey with us.
