To the old fans and the newcomers!
Hey everyone! It's finally here. Banana Clicker is fully released 🍌
Quick history lesson: this started as a buggy pixel art idler in 2023, got a visual overhaul for 2.0 in 2024, went to Kickstarter in 2025, and has been through more playtests and half-finished versions than I'd like to admit. Every version got a little closer to what I actually wanted Banana Clicker to be, and this one is it. I rebuilt the whole game from the ground up, same banana, same Dealer in the trench coat, everything else new.
If you already own the game, the update is free and should already be downloading.
Heads up: the new version uses a new save format, so progress from the old version doesn't carry over. Everyone starts on the same beach. Sorry to the veterans, I promise the new beach is better.
🧑🤝🧑 The Cast
You start with Chad, a surfer who is way too relaxed about all of this. Granny Peel, Captain Rindlock, Dr. Pitsworth, Mayor Goldtooth and a few more I won't spoil join as you go, and every one of them runs their own shop.
47 upgrades across the whole cast, some pay when you click, some earn while you're idle
Buy 10 of an upgrade and the next one in its line unlocks
5 missions per character, and finishing some of them unlocks brand new events
🌩️ Things That Happen to Your Banana
Clicking is only half the game now. The beach does not sit still.
Slices land on the beach for you to grab. Nine kinds, and each gets stronger the more you collect. There's a hand, a magnet, a sweeper and a rainbow trail to help you out
Banana Storms rain electrified bananas
Disco Parties kick off when your combo hits SS, every click pays triple while the ball spins
Rindlock's Cannon fires a massive crit straight into your banana once you finish the Captain's missions
Orbital Lasers come with General Husk, and every hit counts as a click
Black Holes open up inside the banana, eat everything on screen, and pay back ten times what they ate
Pearls, the banana jar, the feeder banana and clockwork fruit for even more ways to earn
🎰 Gear & Summons
The "Gacha Gear" idea from the Kickstarter is in. 31 pieces of gear across 11 sets, and everything you equip shows up on the banana itself, so it's finally cool enough for your twitter page. Pull gear from the Dealer's Summons, craft it from fragments, or recycle your spares for Cosmic.
💫 Ascension & The Constellation
When a run starts slowing down, ascend. You reset for Cosmic, pick a Patron to walk the next run with you, and spend points in the Constellation, a skill tree with nine branches, keystones, and Anomalies that straight up change how the game plays.
🏆 Leaderboards & Friends
Brand new for release! Banana Clicker now has real Steam leaderboards. See where you stand globally or just against your friends for lifetime bananas, best run, clicks and prestige. The Online screen also shows your Steam friends, who's playing right now, and how many bananas they're sitting on. Time to find out which of your friends has been secretly clicking at 3am.
🎉 Also New
Offline earnings, your upgrades keep working while the game is closed and you get a summary when you come back
80+ achievements, a few of them secret. Achievements were the number one complaint in your reviews, so I made them a top priority like I promised
Native Linux build alongside Windows
🛠️ What's Next
A few of the Dealer's side businesses are still behind the counter.
Now go click the banana, and as always, happy clicking! 🍌💛
