Project: Break//Down - v0.40.0 New arean
Summery
Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I have been busy working on this update, with new content, less content, bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.
New Arean
I have implemented a new arena in the game for you to endlessly fight till you go down. Practice combos and get a feel for the combat.
Level 1-5 redesign
Its barrion for now, but the foundations are there. Level 1-5 is a tryout area for those competing in the arena.
Lighting Optimisation
I figured out how to add probe volumes to the game's custom shaders, removing the need for most of the real-time lighting for more performance.
Gamplay Tweaks
Physics
turned up the physics calculation to make the physics more reliable.
Player tweaks
Player punching is smoother again.
The player's camera is now shifted to a better position to allow for better visibility.
Player animation tweaks for compost to allow for better visibility.
Player Punt mechanics tweaked to be more consistent.
Player jumping physics have been tweaked to prevent wall draging when airborne.
Camera tweaks to prevent the player from clipping into itself.
Enemies Tweaks.
enemies in the game now are harder to send into a ragdoll state.
Enemy limbs now also recover much faster.
Enemies now have a flinch cooldown(2 seconds), which allows enemies to trade blows with you
Each enemy hit now only damages you for 5 damage instead of having contact per frame damage
Changes
Font tweaks.
The player's fall seed is increased.
The stamina bar is resized.
Updated the HUD elements so they are not blurry.
Shield is now more transparent with a new shader.
Player stomp is now velocity-based.
AI can now jump up low platforms.
1-4 redesign with story cutscenes.
