Update 2.0 Release Notes
.
version 2.0.2, netversion.2.0.0
Changes to in-game data
Multiplayer experience reset
With the official implementation of Multiplayer, the Multiplayer experience that was played as a test will be reset and you will start again from Lv. 1 with the official implementation.
Specification additions and changes
Official implementation of multiplayer
Finally, multiplayer has been officially implemented from beta. With the official implementation, the following features will be implemented
- Addition of titles A number of titles have been added to the game, which can be obtained in a variety of ways. They are divided into Title1 and Title2, which can be combined into a single title that can be displayed to other players in multiplayer. Titles can be obtained by unlocking achievements, setting certain records, leveling up, or through the title raffle described below.
- Official implementation of the title change function This feature allows users to freely change titles obtained through various methods, including the functions described below. Titles are mainly displayed to other players in multiplayer games, and can be displayed by combining two titles. You can create your own unique titles, from cool titles to funny titles, so experiment and create your favourite titles.
- Implementation of the title gacha A number of titles have been added that can be obtained through a gacha (title lottery). The gacha ticket is based on the experience gained in single-player and multi-player play, and when used on the title lottery screen, titles that can only be obtained through the lottery will be drawn. Please note that experience is not reduced by drawing gachas.
- Achievements will now be unlocked when conditions are met, even in multiplayer. Achievements are now unlocked on the results screen in multiplayer.
- Added a confirmation message when selecting a tile to reveal and pressing the reveal button.
- Added the ability to switch between NPCs after adding an NPC in a multiplayer game room.
- Changed so that the optional Auto play setting (formerly known as the 'Auto Play with One Tile') is also enabled in multiplayer.
- A link to the Discord server has been added to the title screen A new 'Japanese Style Tien Gow - Official' server has been set up as a place to find multiplayer opponents and share topics. We believe that multiplayer is a lot of fun and it's easier to find a partner when there are lots of people around, so please don't hesitate to join us. Please note that you must agree to the rules on the Discord server.
Corrections/changes concerning NPCs
- Improved NPCs. All NPCs except the first three have had their minds enhanced. *Overall, we have buffed them in response to feedback that none of the NPCs were strong enough to get used to the game.
- Reduced NPC unlock levels. *The unlock levels have been changed to appear earlier overall.
Fixes and changes to in-game behavior
- Changed the specification to allow you to pre-select your own pieces in moves other than your own.
- Added a feature to deselect all pieces by right-clicking on them while they are selected.
*These work for both single player and multiplayer.
Other additional/changed features
- Changed the description of the 'Auto Play with One Tile' option to 'Auto play' and changed the description of the setting value from 'On' and 'Off' to 'Only one option' and 'Off' (no change in functionality).
- Changed the description of the 'Auto Transition' option to 'Scoring Summary' and changed the setting values from 'On' and 'Off' to 'Auto' and 'Pause' (no change in functionality).
- Added a feature to display the score difference with other players when clicking on the central scoreboard.
- Removed some beta indicators, etc. in line with the official implementation.
- Partial changes have been made to the display of credits.
Bugfix
- Fixed an issue where some text in the 'The Tille Zoo' content in the 'Tutorial' was displayed in Japanese when the display language was set to English.
With this update, we can say that the game was originally playable enough in beta, but now that the multiplayer mode has been 'officially' released, we think we have all the features we need to have fun with our friends.
However, we will continue to update the game in the future.
We have a number of things planned, such as language support and some display improvements, and we will let you know when we are ready to talk about them in more detail.
We look forward to your continued support of Japanese Style Tien Gow.
