This patch is a continuation of some of the systems that we weren't able to get in the last playtest. While you could do a full dungeon run, we're still ironing out the details and the experience should be much smoother and more in line with what we've had previously.
Gameplay & misc. changes
We've done some re-balancing of certain classes and fixed some inconsistencies:
The Giant's Fall Alchemy craft will now properly push back the boss' turn depending on the catalyst used. (For example, an Impure catalyst will push it back one turn, while a Refined one will push it back up to four turns.)
One of the Djinn Patron's consequences grants a shield status to all enemies. The amount of damage absorbed by that shield has been increased.
The !contracts command lets a Solicitor player know their current contract in chat.
Dungeon voting is back. Players in chat can now vote on the dungeon they want to visit while on the dungeon select screen. This isn't particularly useful right now as only the Forest is available, but it paves the way for the future...
The Shop is also back. While in a dungeon, the shop will periodically refresh with new offers of items.
The game now features music again.
UI changes
The Options menu is now functional. You can customize many settings, such as how long it takes the game waits for players to !join combat before starting and after what period of time the shop refreshes, among others.
A new Skill UI has been added that provides an overview of the skills available to a player depending on their level. The Skill UI can be hidden by the streamer by clicking the eye icon in the bottom right. By default, it becomes active at the start of a player's turn. This behavior can be altered in the Options menu: you can set it to only show after a period of inactivity from the player, or not show at all.
The Boss Bar UI is getting an overhaul. While still a work in progress (you will see placeholder icons instead of more useful icons) it makes better use of space and is hopefully more clear about what turn the Boss is taking.
Status Effects can now be hovered over by the streamer to show the name of the effect. There are a lot of possible Statuses, so it can be hard to remember them all just by their icon!
We want to take a moment and thank all of our play testers for their feedback as we add more things to the game. Making a game like this is a process that only works when we hear your feedback and take it earnestly. If you would like to provide any feedback for the game, don't hesitate to join the Discord Server!
