Hello everyone! 👋
We have just dropped a new extended demo as part of Steam Next Fest (June 19 - 26)! You can now enjoy Day 1: daytime and nighttime in Flutter Away! ☀️🌙
Not only is this demo longer, but it is also localized! You can now play in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese and Korean!
This demo is only available during Steam Next Fest, so be sure to check it out while you can!
Below we have some tips so you can get the most out of it! We’ve included some things to keep an eye out for. Can you find them all? 👀
Tips for enjoying the demo:
Flutter Away is a game about exploration. There’s no combat, enemies, or time limit - so take your time to explore every nook and cranny to get the most out of your experience! We intentionally designed this game to encourage you to slow down, so don’t rush! You could miss the finer details.
Don’t forget to take pictures of everything! You might even find some hidden discoveries. 👀
Things to look out for: Spoilers ahead!
Dazzling Nightfigher: A butterfly that prefers the night?
This is a butterfly species that goes against the norms! These playful and energetic creatures are active during the nighttime, a behavior we normally associate with moths.

Bromeliads: Familiar plants from far away.
This flower may seem familiar to you, and that's because they are often sold as house plants in garden centres all over the world!

Did you know that the bright colors are not a flower, but are actually special leaves? They lead to pools of water sometimes used by tree frogs! 🐸
Tracks and feathers: We don’t always see animals around us.
Tracks, sounds, and feathers give clues of what we cannot see. Take some time to notice these small changes as you play, and enjoy the secret signs that life leaves behind!

Glowing mushroom: Some forests have night lights.
Glowing mushrooms shine for moths, flies, and beetles who’ll help carry their spores across the forest. When the sun sets, you’ll be invited into the night by the natural glow of fungi and fireflies.

Walking Palm: A walking tree?
Seasonal flooding in the Amazon has caused the Walking Palm to stand on roots that can quickly be regrown when the tree falls over. Keep an eye out for these and other quirky plants in your exploration of the Amazon rainforest!

We hope you enjoy this short snippet of Flutter Away! Oh, and if you enjoy the demo and are looking forward to the game don’t forget to add us to your wishlist - it really helps small indie developers like us with visibility on Steam! 💖
