Hello Comrades
We are back with another significant update for Early Access version 6. This time we have added weather and reworked the entire TV system to now be a key feature in the world of Belegovska.
Weather System
Lets start with the Weather system. In update 0.6.3 we have added 4 core weather patterns and 2 rare abnormal weather events. Weather lasts the entire day and affects the world and the environment in different ways.
In a future update when update the farming system, the weather will play a significant part for all plants growing outside.
The 4 main types of weather are:
Sunny
Overcast
Light Rain
Heavy Rain
I don't want to spoil the two abnormal events, but one will significantly affect what you might be able to do that day. More weather is currently under development and will be added in the future.
Television Network
This is something we have been wanting to work into the gameplay since release and we are really happy to have this finally part of Yes Comrade.
To start with the televisions in the game have been completely reworked to now sync across all the televisions in the world, not just locally, but now networked as well. All players will now see the same content at the same timestamp.
Televisions can now play more than just our iconic "Technical Difficulties". Instead the televisions now play various videos throughout the day around the classic waiting screen. This content ranges from the current weather forecast (which plays at the start of each day at midnight) as well as new content relating to the game. All videos are designed to enhance our world building and to help explain or reveal gameplay features without breaking the 4th wall.
This is just the beginning with much more to come, but C.A.R.E have prepared some training videos for you that might help you out on your search for anomalies. Let us know what you think! Hopefully you definitely didn't sell the starting television in the canteen to fund your wallpaper addiction...
