DEVELOPER NOTES
Hey everyone. This patch was supposed to be a content update, but along the way several core systems had to graduate from placeholders to fully integrated implementations. The NPC systems, speech engine, lock mechanism, and quest execution pipeline were all held together with temporary scaffolding until now.
The important part is that the foundations underneath survived all of it without needing fixes or adjustments. Saves from the very first backup archives were successfully loaded and remain fully playable, which is a major milestone for the project.
There is still a lot of work ahead, especially around NPC personality, dialogue polish, and future quest content. But the scaffolding is mostly gone now, and the next stretch should be more focused on content, polish, and player-facing updates.
