Patch 0.24 is now live. Because there are new resources introduced in this patch, you need to update to use player trade and see trade tile bonus. Trade tile bonus will be re-rolled and trade tile cooldown has been reset.
New Civilization: Ottoman
A new Civilization Ottoman has been added, featuring 1 unique building, 2 unique wonders and 3 unique natural wonders.
New Wonder: Swiss Bank
Swiss Bank is unlocked by Monetary System (Cold War) and allows you to convert a chosen resource from adjacent warehouses to Koti (10 million in Sanskrit) - a tradeable resource that is worth 10M value. Each level of Swiss Bank add 1 Koti conversion per cycle, which is affected by Production Multiplier. Swiss Bank can store unlimited amount of Koti.
Reworked Wonder: Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
Old: A transport costs no workers if it is currently within 2 tile range of the Mausoleum
New: Transports from or to buildings within 2 tile range do not cost workers
Trade Tile Expansion
In this patch, apart from trade tile entitlement from account rank, an owned/occupied tile generates 0.005 tile point per hour (up to 7 days from the first claimed tile). Each tile point can be used to occupy one trade tile. So with this change, players from different ranks all get more trade tiles!
Trade Neighbor & Ally
You get +1 Production Multiplier for each neighbor's tile, and +2 Production Multiplier for each ally's tile. To become an ally with your neighbor, choose the same flag (except for the Earth flag) as them. Players with the Earth flag are neutral and cannot be allied with.
Highlight Trade Tile Bonus
This is the most requested feature since the introduction of trade tile bonus. Now you can not only highlight all tiles with a certain bonus, but also cycle through them.
You can also highlight multiple buildings at the same type - so you can pick the best spot for your empire.
New Tile Visual
While working on Spaceship Idle, I have backported several engine improvements back to CivIdle. One of them is support for new tile visuals. I've added several options (some of them require supporter pack), including light tiles, in case that's your preference. Also, players with Aedile or above rank can now link GIFs in chat.
New Achievements
The following achievements has been added to Steam
Save Improvement
This is also backported from Spaceship Idle. Previously, the save system can occasionally corrupt the save file. Even though there's an automatic backup system, hopefully this improvement will make the backup system redundant.
UI Improvement
There are several UI improvements: construction page has a shinny grid view, tech page now have building icons and rebirth modal has been reworked. A quick tab has been added next to the chat bar and new shortcut options has been added to the menu. It's a bit hard to list all of them so I'll leave it to you to discover.
Finally, some updates on Spaceship Idle. Now that CivIdle 0.24 is shipped, I am planning some big overhaul of the fundamental gameplay system. If you want to follow the latest development, join our Discord server and wishlist the game!
