Now onto update 0.6.3…
VIKINGS! ODINFALL 0.6.3 brings a brand-new playable character, a reimagined boss trophy system, fresh weapons, and a wild new weapon mod to shake up your runs
Let’s dive in!
New Playable Character: Hilda the Dryad
Say hello to Hilda, the forest’s defender, now joining the apocalypse somewhere in Act 2
Hilda brings a unique playstyle built around her loyal little troublemakers: Seedlings.
Summon Seedlings to fight at your side
Seedlings block incoming projectiles, giving Hilda natural crowd control & defence
Ran out of ability charges? Hilda can use her own health to summon even more Seedlings!
Hilda comes with 3 unlockable skins, each with matching Seedling variants
Hilda is perfect for players who love minions, chaos, or yelling “tank this for me!” at living plants
You can find & unlock Hilda somewhere in ACT 2 ;)
Reworked Boss Trophy Challenges
Your victories should shine… and now they do!
We’ve completely reworked the Boss Trophy Challenge system to add more long-term goals and bragging rights.
Each boss now has multiple challenges tied to them for you to conquer
The more challenges you complete, the higher the tier of your trophy for that boss!
Chase those upgrades, display your achievements, and flex your apocalypse résumé
New Weapons: The Crossbow Collection
Sharpen your aim and your chaos, three new crossbows have entered the arena:
Triple Crossbow: Why shoot one bolt when you can shoot three?
Homing Crossbow: For players who love precision… or absolutely hate it
Burst Crossbow: Send rapid volleys of arrows rocketing forward
Each brings new synergies, new modifiers, and new ways to accidentally blow yourself up (don’t worry, we do it too!)
New Weapon Mod: The Teleporter
The Teleporter Mod lets your shots spawn at a distance from your character, essentially repositioning where your projectiles appear from
What does that mean for gameplay?
Shoot enemies through walls
Fire projectiles directly behind enemies
Set up hilarious off-screen surprises
Create chaos the dev team absolutely intended (and definitely did not accidentally discover at 2AM)
Experiment, break the rules, enjoy the nonsense
Updated Roadmap
That’s the rundown! While 0.6.3 is a smaller update, Hilda brings a whole new playstyle to explore, the trophy rework adds long-term goals, and the latest weapons/mod will open up some ridiculous new builds.
As always, thank you for supporting ODINFALL in Early Access. Jump in, try out Hilda, break the game with Teleporter shots, and let us know what chaos you unleash (full patch notes below!)
See you in the apocalypse,
– The ODINFALL Team
