Of course! We haven't been goofing around this whole time.
We've got all sorts of new content for the art and mouse controlling in this update!
UI art optimization and upgrade.
To be honest, we feel that the quality of the previous art is still very amateurish. We can only enhance it little by little, little by little.
In this update, the game-ending system has been overhauled.
We've changed the game-ending-abruptly mechanic, and it's much gentler now. Of course, in addition to that, we've remaked the whole visual part of the game-ending panel. Now it's “more like it”.
Artistically, in addition to the game-ending panel we added unit and grid VFX and added realistic screen effects to the entire UI.
We've also made a series of fine-tuned adjustments to device lighting, details, texture, and more as well. We hope you enjoy our new art content!
Mouse controls are now available.
Then there's the mouse controlling part. As we stated before in the mouse branch announcement, when we first designed this project, it was on a handheld device (D.E.O.T.). There were only buttons, so the “issue” of button priority has continued, until this day!
Truth be told, mouse controlling is undoubtedly a basic feature for PC games nowadays. So R.O.O.T. has been without mouse controlling is something we found is sad as well. However, the development of mouse controlling is undoubtedly a lot of work, so it has been put on hold. Until the beginning of this year, we intend to get serious about it. So there is this mouse version. Really sorry to keep you all waiting!

We have done a lot of testing on mouse related content before, but R.O.O.T.'s mouse system is still very complex, so if there are any problems. We hope you can give us every feedback!
