It's been a month since last update, so I want to give a quick preview of the next one, which should be arriving next week. I hoped to get it out in beta today, but decided to hold off as I'll be out of town this weekend and don't want to risk anything.
But this update should be a good one! The theme is "Personnel and Strategy"; I've added a new "Formation overrides" section in the depth chart to set exactly which players are used in each formation. This also allows more fluid positions; for example, putting a TE in a WR spot, or putting a pass rushing LB in the DE spot for certain formations. You can even run the wildcat now with an RB receiving snaps at the QB position.
Secondly, I've totally revamped the "Game Plan" page, and added 15 new advanced settings, covering everything from offense tempo, to primary pass targets, tackling technique and special teams. Many options have tradeoffs; do you tell your DBs to be ballhawks and go for risky interceptions, or focus more on securing the tackle and limiting YAC? This should really enhance the strategy and style of your team, and I'm excited for you all to try them out!
There are other things in the update too, but those are the big ones and the ones I want to highlight for now. As I mentioned, this update should be in beta early next week, with the full release coming a couple days after. Thanks for your patience!
