Major update 0.2.0 - NPC & Day update
Pandas are ALIVE - - AND emotional!
It’s time for our major update and this time the villager pandas are actually doing things rather than just standing around. We have musicians, workers, cleaners, timber pandas, miner pandas etc - and most important of all, the pandas like (or dislike) things around them now! While one panda might become happy seeing penguins roam around, another might consider them as a nuisance. Try lifting a decoration and bringing it to a panda and see how they react.
Main Changes
- 🐼 Days go on and change throughout the game. The actual visuals and sunlight changes on the islands accordingly.
- 🐼 NPC’s are alive now with personal work animations and likes & dislikes. Their moods are also easily affected and player can help them feel better (or accidently worse, if not careful). If you manage to keep the pandas happy, they will reward you with resources at the beginning of each new day!
Smaller Changes
- Started adding voice acting for the npc’s!
- New music tracks
- Added 7 new pandas with personal animations and moods
- Added new resources and carryable items such as flower vases, food & candy baskets, rubbish, dirty dishes etc - and even garden panda gnomes! :)
And a lot more work in the background!
Technical notes
- If you have problems with your save file, see the notes in the previous update announcement on how to try to fix it.
- If you run into bugs, feel free to report them with F1 button within in the game.
- Note : To run into the new moody pandas with more different animations, you need to pass the introduction quest first by saving the grandma from the nasty purple roots.
That's all for now
Thank you for taking your time to read through these patch notes, and playing our game!
We really wanted to bring the world alive with the pandas with different emotions and got to a good start but there is still lots to do, but we hope you get the main idea how these pandas react to you as the player and what all kind of possibilities it will bring into the game in the long run. Feel free to suggest any!
There will surely be bugs to be found and we’re expecting to upload a patch for major ones along asap as we find them.
We have lots of major stuff in the works but we aren’t quite ready to show them yet. We decided to split our major updates into 2 parts, this current 0.2.0 version and the next upcoming version 0.3.0 together will power up the NPC pandas both in gameplay and in story. This will be achieved by bringing next proper QUEST system that is tied to the DAY system. Expect the next update to be quite different to what you’ve seen this far!
Big Thanks to all of you who have purchased and/or wishilisted our game.
