What's up Pixelmancer fans, Gem here and welcome to update 0.87!
- - - Updates & Bug Fixes - - -
- Improved coding of camera smoothness to be the same across all refresh rate displays
- Nightshade Secondary attack now hits multiple enemies without missing
- Optimised Steam API to use far less network usage with achievement unlocks
The game used to check Steam for achievements ~60 times a second, now it only checks once when triggered to unlock
- Controller cursor should now move same speed on any refresh rate
- Fixed audio issue where spawning multiple Phoenix or Frostbite at same time would audio stack and make it louder
- Increased knockback of Phoenix Secondary
- Increased knockback of Nightshade Primary
- Massive CPU optimisations in general
I've managed to compress about ~30% of coding of the entire game. For a high-end PC this means nothing unless you're in high levels of Survival Mode. Low-end PCs and handhelds should see significant CPU efficiency
- Improved homing functionality of Stadie, Shadowmancer and Lifebloom Secondary to be consistent through all refresh rate displays
- Changed friendly and companion projectile velocity to be same as movement speed upgrade rate
- Fixed defeat screen where fade to black wasn't working properly
- Added homing mechanism to Phoenix Primary
- Added homing mechanism to Lifebloom Primary
- Increased Frostbite damage
- Decreased Mana cost for Lifebloom Primary
- Luckstone now shows you the percentage drop chance of a soulstone
For example if your luckstone is 30, then that means there's a 30% chance a soulstone will drop per enemy death
- Fixed controller cursor not working in pause menu
