Imported the latest list of exoplanets from NASA and the stars they orbit. Also added star age to the database to improve the estimate exoplanet properties. Updated star color to handle brown dwarfs and Wolf-Rayet stars. Three additional exoplanet types have been added. Exoplanets textures are determined as follows (in order):
- Primordial: < 200 Myrs old,
- Gas Giant: > 2.5 Radius Earth.
- Icy - Beyond the outer edge of the habitable zone.
- Earth Like: In habitable zone, not tidally locked.
- Thin atmo: In habitable zone, tidally locked.
- Dense atmo: Inside the inner edge of the habitable zone
- Rocky: Inside half the distance to the inner edge of the habitable zone.
Improvements:
- Earth facing now correct for time of day
- Updated star colors for low temperature and high temperature stars
- Added 3469 exoplanets for a total of 3744
- Added 2558 stars, total of 5434, total star systems now 4800.
- Added age to stars where available
- Updated formula for tidal locking
- Added (distance) zoom scale above right hand.
- Added motion direction pointer on left hand (enable/disable in settings)
Bug Fixes
- Corrected co-located stars
- Corrected inverted normal map for Earth
