This sleek and powerful grand tourer (GT) car, crafted by the renowned German automobile manufacturer BMW, finds its place in the GTE Class and will be a powerful opponent to the already available Porsche 911 RSR.
Originally developed in late 2016, the BMW M8 GTE made its competitive debut in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship during the 2018 season.
Replacing its predecessor, the BMW M6 GTLM, at the end of the 2017 season, the M8 GTE is built on the foundation of the BMW M8.
Notably, the M8 GTE stands out as the first car to be entirely manufactured by BMW Motorsport from the ground up as a LM GTE homologated vehicle, showcasing BMW's commitment to innovation.
Underneath its striking exterior, the BMW M8 GTE boasts cutting-edge technologies and concepts. Powering the BMW M8 GTE is a formidable front-mid mounted BMW n63/1 turbocharged V8 engine.
With its impressive power and precision engineering, the M8 GTE is going to deliver an exhilarating racing experience in RaceRoom.
The BMW M2 CS Racing, BMW M4 GT4 and the BMW M8 GTE will be released this Wednesday!
But of course we are not stopping here. We've already licensed more endurance focused cars. Stay tuned to hear more about that in the future!
