Rules

Main conditions
- The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that fails to meet one or several of the conditions below.
- A monstergirl… What is it? In our interpretation, a monstergirl is any non-human female being, such as a lamia, a harpy, a cobold, etc., but also an elf, a goblin, a fairy, or any other fantasy creature. However, taking an human-like creature and changing its skin color or pasting some pointy ears onto it would be lame. We’re not going to censor such entries, but they are more likely to get less votes. However, try to steer clear of the other extremity: being a monster, your creature still has to have a girly appeal! Hybrids with objects, inanimate matter or elements are allowed, but within the setting boundaries (see below).
- Humanization should be avoided. Meaning that any animal/object-transformed-into-a-girl arts will not be accepted. An ordinary person wearing some exotic body paint, hair style, or clothing is NOT a monstergirl!
- Furries are fair game. The boundary between monstergirls and furries is fuzzy at best, and we are not going to define it. If you wish to make your character more beast-like, you’re welcome! However, remember to keep her anthromorphic to some degree at least. Traditional talking ponies, female dragons and other beasts will not be accepted.
- Any medium will do. Your entry may be 2D, 3D, a digital painting, a pencil sketch, a GIF image, a video reel, a comic strip, a figurine, a cutout, a mosaic made of nickels or dimes, etc… Your only limits are your imagination and skills. Idea trumps execution (see below).
- Idea trumps execution. We value high-quality entries, but idea and design are more important to us. Also, remember that there will be piblic voting.
- Your character has to be designed from scratch specifically for the contest. Entries that include fan arts with existing characters or original works conceived and executed before the contest will be disqualified.
- Fantasy or mythological settings only. We accept a wider interpretation of the fantasy genre, from classic high fantasy to steampunk. But no electronic gadgets, futuristic devices or aliens, please. Modern, sci-fi, cyberpunk, or retrofuturistic background details can be used for artistic purposes, but they can’t be a part of the character design. Anachronisms are allowed.
- SFW only! Mildly erotic entries are allowed, but they cannot contain depictions of full frontal nudity, bare breasts showing nipples, graphic images of female genitals or the like. However, a naked body partly covered with fur, feathers, scales, etc. is allowed. If in doubt, contact us to avoid misunderstandings.
- Nothing wrong with classics. You are free to use any existing mythological creatures: medusas, centaurs, harpies, ghosts, etc. However, try to add at least a little bit of originality so that your entry doesn’t look too trite, whatever the quality.
- Be original. We encourage you to be bold, creative, and original! Mother nature and human imagination provide endless possibilities for cool hybrids and unique designs!
- No politics, please. In these uncertain times, we feel a need to highlight this otherwise obvious point. Your entry must not contain any direct hints pointing at real events, nations, or symbols. However, we fully support adding national color or traditional motifs to your design.
- Be careful with religious motifs. Angels, demons, efreets, and even nuns (or other religious people) are allowed as long as it is still an original idea. Try to use abstract religious inspirations; reimagining apostles or Buddha as monstergirls is a bad idea.
- Only one entry from each participant. We do not prohibit contestants from producing more than one entry; however, only one of them will participate in the final vote--either the latest one or one specifically marked as the contest-ready by the author. The number of entries will not affect the results. However, if you have any new ideas beyond the original one, feel free to present them too! The more cool arts and monstergirls there are, the better! UPD: due to the abuse of this item we are forced to impose a restriction: each participant can make no more than three substitutions.
- AI-generated images will not be accepted. We do not prohibit using neural networks as a source of ideas or inspiration. However, AI-generated images lacking your personal touch will be disqualified. Unfortunately, there have been such precedents. So, in order to avoid misunderstandings, it would be wise to preserve a timelapse of your work or at least earlier variants and sketches so that you can provide them if the style and look of your entry raises suspicions.
Additional conditions
- You may provide a description for your monstergirl. The description is optional and should be concise (preferably up to 300 characters). It won’t have any influence on the results, but may happen to be a nice finishing stroke. Please don’t give a detailed biography of the character, or explain her anatomy and lifestyle. A name and an interesting fact will suffice. Remember, however, that text-only entries without pictures will not be accepted!
- Your monstergirl in Princess Hunter! Winning entries may be implemented in our game. However, we cannot guarantee it, as even the most creative entry may be out of place in our project. Also, we will understand if the creator doesn’t want to share his/her creation with us--it’s completely normal! Your permission to use your character is not a precondition, and everything will be discussed individually after the results are announced.
Terms

Entries will be collected over a month (30 days, starting from the day the contest is announced--January, 23). Therefore, the deadline is
February, 22, 2023, 23:59 UTC.
During this period, the contestants will have to publish their entries on any resource using the following hashtags:
#princesshuntergame #MonsterGirlContest
If it's not against the website rules (in Instagram, for example, it is not permitted to post external links!), it'd be cool if you could add a link to this Steam thread, where the terms & conditions of the contest are described in full.
If you are present in any of the following social networks, we will be happy for shares and mentions:
In addition, the contestants are required to send links to their entries to: [email protected], with the subject: MonsterGirl Contest. We will share your entry through our social media accounts and add it to the album of the contest.
Please note that for your entry to be accepted, both conditions have to be met. If you don’t have a public account on any of the resources, just email your entry to us along with the name, under which you would like to participate, and we will publish it in our social media accounts.
Voting

Each entry will get points from three independent sources (up to 10 points from each), to keep the results as unbiased as possible. The shortlist will be formed according to point totals.
Organizer
Makes judgements based on his personal preferences.
Jury
There will be a panel of about a dozen experts, who will rate the entries, and then the average will be calculated.
Public vote
A number of platforms will be monitored. Everybody is kindly advised against cheating, such as mass voting or vote buying. Here we rely on the participants’ discretion, since we have almost no means to verify the validity of voting. Anyway, the stakes are not so high to justify risking your reputation. Let the most creative contestants win, not the most cunning!
If there are too many entries, voting will be conducted in several rounds.
