Dear players,
We have some exciting news about the newest patch, 0.5.0. This update introduces a lot of new content to the game. Let's go through the list together.
Major Changes:
Devastating Wound - A new narrative feature gives the King a devastating wound after an unsuccessful assassination attempt at the start of the game. This makes the King significantly weaker, lowering his health and stamina. However, we have compensated for this by buffing the bodyguards. The debuff can be removed with some help after traveling for some time. This feature is currently a work in progress, but in the future, we plan to enable a "hard mode" through this event, allowing players to refuse this help.
New Unit: Stratha Arbalest - Now you can acquire Stratha Arbalest deserters. This unit has a shorter range than the regular archer, but can deal a lot of damage in quick succession. It also has the Fire Shot ability, which is unique to the Arbalest unit.
New Unit: Stratha Swordsman - Another recruitable Stratha deserter unit. This one can become a serious damage dealer. With access to many melee abilities and great basic attack upgrades, this unit can become very impactful on the battlefield when upgraded.
New Unit: Enforcer - A true tank unit armed with a mace and shield. This unit has the highest basic armor and armor efficiency in the game. Despite its low damage output, this unit shines with defensive options and crowd control abilities.
New Unit: Bounty Hunter - A squishy, high damage dealer with the highest base movement speed in the game. This unit dual-wields a rapier and a dagger, either of which can be upgraded for a unique playstyle. Will you opt for a duelist setup or a flanking assassin?
New Recruit Events - With new units, we had to adjust the current recruit events. Many previous events were adjusted to include chances of acquiring some of the new units, and we've added unique events that guarantee some of the new ones.
Adjusted Accuracy - We have adjusted accuracy in the game as it was slightly higher than we wanted it to be, making future accuracy stacking much valuable. To compensate, we also distributed accuracy stats across all weapon upgrades.
Equipment Upgrade Cost - With the accuracy adjustment and its impact on the game, we have decreased the equipment upgrade cost to incentivize upgrading equipment.
Bodyguards' Starting Abilities - Bodyguard Volkver now starts with the "Open Wounds" ability and Marske starts with "Shield Bash." This change provides players with better starting playstyle options, whether they prefer the original tank-bodyguard playstyle or a more balanced damage dealer approach.
Passive Healing Change - Passive healing while traveling has been adjusted from a flat value to 12%/8%/5% based on the selected difficulty.
New Upgrade Options - We've added many upgrade options to slightly underwhelming abilities through the skill point system to make them more viable.
Two Traits for Units - Units now have a chance to receive two traits instead of one.

Apart from these balancing changes, we have also identified and corrected a huge list of bugs, too extensive to be listed here. With so much new content, some bugs may have slipped through the cracks, so we encourage you to report any issues on our public Discord or leave a comment on our community page.
That’s all for today’s patch notes. We hope you enjoy the recent changes as much as we did.
All the best from,
The Black Voyage Games Team
