If there's one slither of feedback I'll allow (and I am very fragile), it's that Game Over - A Musical RPG?? might cater too heavily to the Rhythm Gamer crowd. WELL NO LONGER.
Introducing Least Hard mode, available in all good options menus, and selectable at all stages of gameplay! Least Hard mode is targeted at those not willing to spend hours grinding at boss battles, but don't want the tedium of watching notes fly by on Nigel Mode. Least Hard only uses 4 keys (by default FGHJ), and further reduces the amount of notes comin' at ya. The difficulty curve is significantly smoothed out, asking less blood from the players.
Now.
If there's another slither of feedback I'll allow (and don't forget, I'm very fragile), it's that Game Over - A Musical RPG?? might not cater heavily enough to the Rhythm Gamer crowd. WELL NO LONGER.
Introducing Arcade Mode, available in all good profile selection menus! Arcade Mode allows you to replay any previously found duets, with a variety of devious modifiers:
Squiggly! Writhe in pain as all notes wriggle their way down the note track, hope you ain't colourblind!
Remixed! Randomize all notes to keep you guessing?? Don't ask me, I'm just a developer!
Flashlight! Night time has struck the arcade mode, but a trusty flashlight promises to illuminate your way - here's hoping that klutz holds it straight!
Fade In/Out/BOTH: Bashful notes in the middle of getting changed certainly don't want to be looked at the WHOLE time they're coming down the board...
More to come!
What's next for Game Over - A Musical RPG??
I think a Leaderboard wouldn't go awry, would you? And mayhaps a few more modifiers, mayhaps?
