Dark and Darker Season 8 descends into the depths with Firedeep, the newly revealed second floor of the Goblin Caves. This lava-filled dungeon is shaped by molten rivers, collapsing stone, and crushing heat that turns every expedition into a fight for survival.
Firedeep is inhabited by savage lava creatures and heavily armed dwarf miners who have carved their stronghold into the rock. Tight corridors and hazardous terrain leave little room for error as adventurers push deeper into the inferno.
A massive new threat rules the depths below. The towering Fire Colossus stands as the ultimate challenge of Firedeep, guarding powerful rewards for those who survive the descent.
Season 8 also delivers a broad combat refresh, bringing new skills and reworked abilities across the battlefield. Fighters and Barbarians lead the charge with powerful new tools that reshape frontline combat, while expanded skill options raise the intensity and variety of every encounter.
With a deadly new dungeon layer, revitalized combat, and escalating threats waiting within the fire, Season 8 opens a new chapter for Dark and Darker.
Enter the Firedeep January 29th.
Dark and Darker is a hardcore, first-person, fantasy based, dungeon crawler extraction game where players take on ruthless monsters, navigate devious traps, and uncover secrets containing untold treasures.
Play solo or with friends in duos or trios, and take on the nightmares that await you, but beware, for you are not alone in the dungeons. You may need to take down other adventurers who stand in your way. Defeat them in combat and take their hard-earned treasures for yourself, or form uneasy alliances to increase your odds of surviving against the array of fearsome beasts, gruesome undead, and vile demons that lurk in the darkness.
For those who seek danger without the threat of other players, the PvE-only Adventure Mode offers a way to experience the dungeons in pure cooperative play, battling monsters and chasing treasure side by side with allies.
Should you survive, you will grow in strength, stockpile wealth, and build an arsenal of equipment to bolster your future endeavors. Complete quests and improve your standing with the merchants within the world of Dark and Darker to gain access to better wares and unlock the ability to craft items that draw from the powers of the foes you have slain, using the reagents you discover to aid you in your next adventure.
The descent into the Firedeep begins January 29th. Will you survive the heat?
