Hello hoomans!
When we started working on Cozy Room back in 2022, the idea was to create a small, simple game.
Over time, our ambition for the project grew, and the game evolved far beyond its original scope. At this stage, it no longer makes sense to release it as a free game like we had initially planned.
Another important reason for this change is visibility. We fear the game might not get as much attention as we hoped. A free game can only participate in a limited number of Steam events, which greatly limits its reach. By making Cozy Room a paid game, we will be able to register it in more events, put it on sale, and bring it to the attention of many more players.
We also plan to include future updates after launch. For this to be viable, the game needs to stay in the spotlight for as long as possible, and this change will help us achieve that.
We hope for your understanding and support as we take this step to give Cozy Room the best possible chance to shine.
