Dear Adventurers,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your companionship and support over the past year for Village Heroes, the nostalgic pixel-style MMORPG on Steam. Due to operational challenges and ongoing maintenance pressure, we have made an extremely difficult decision:
All game servers will be officially shut down and full game services terminated at 22:00 on May 28, 2026.
Key Service Termination Arrangements
In-Game Purchases: All payment channels were closed on December 3, 2025. There are no outstanding pending payments or refund issues.
Server Shutdown: At 22:00 on May 28, 2026, all servers will be permanently taken offline. All account, character, equipment and in-game data will no longer be maintained.
Follow-Up Closure: Player communities and customer support channels will be closed within 7 working days after server shutdown. The Steam store page and promotional materials will be gradually removed.
Data Handling Notice
After server shutdown, all player account and in-game virtual data will be properly handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, except for information required by law to be retained. We guarantee that your data will not be disclosed or misused without authorization.
We deeply regret that this pixel adventure cannot continue. Thank you for your understanding and support every step of the way. Though our journey ends here, the memories will last forever.
Sincerely,
Village Heroes Team
