While we love the Steam Deck and think it's an awesome device, we can’t support Dual Universe on it at this stage. The main reason is the absence of Linux support for EQU8, our anti-cheat system.

EQU8 uses Windows functions that are different from other operating systems to protect the game’s integrity. This is a trade-off we had to make between having a fair game (without cheats) and compatibility.

Most players and games are on Windows. Thus, very few anti-cheat solutions support Linux (even fewer with good support). Because of this, we did not find an anti-cheat solution that works on Linux and suits our needs.

However, please note that this decision doesn't prevent us from adding a second anti-cheat solution in the future in case we decide to officially support Linux systems later on. Nothing prevents us from having different anti-cheats working at the same time (one for each platform). Due to our development constraints and available resources, it’s just not planned for now.

As always, thanks for your feedback and support!
