Hi, Benjamin here!
While the Full Alpha is currently a beautiful, unreleased disaster living on my local hard drive, I looked at the Demo and realized it was still running on "Early 2024 Energy." I’ve spent the last few weeks arguing with my keyboard to bring the Demo up to speed with my latest internal breakthroughs.
I’ve basically performed open-heart surgery on the game while it was still running. Here is the damage report:
🛠 The "One-Man Army" Patch Notes:
Movement 2.0: I scrapped the old movement code because it felt like walking through a swamp. The new system is more dynamic, fluid, and approximately 300% less clunky. You can now move like a protagonist, not a refrigerator.

Combat Overhaul: If the old combat was a "polite disagreement," the new system is now a full-blown argument. It’s faster, tighter, and I’ve finally convinced the hitboxes to actually hit things.

The "I Hired Myself as a Designer" UI: I’ve replaced the "Engine Default" menus with a brand-new UI. It’s cleaner, it actually scales to your screen, and it doesn't look like a spreadsheet.
The Bug Purge: I found a family of bugs living. I have evicted them. If they try to move back in, please let me know in the forums so I can send them a formal notice.
🚧 Status Report: The Unreleased Alpha
Behind the scenes, the Full Alpha is growing into a complex monster. I’m currently teaching it how to save your progress without the game gaining sentience and deleting my OS. It’s not ready for the public yet, but these Demo updates are the breadcrumbs leading you there.
Support my Caffeine Addiction: Since I'm the one doing the heavy lifting in the code, every Wishlist is a massive dopamine hit that keeps me typing at 3:00 AM. It also tells the Steam Algorithm that I’m not just three raccoons in a trench coat pretending to be a developer.
Is it broken? Since I changed the movement, combat, AND the UI at once, there’s a non-zero chance I broke something I didn't mean to. If the game starts behaving like a haunted microwave, tell me in the Steam Forums!
