In this patch, we are doing a few updates before launching Case 6 later this month. We also have plans for a public playtesting of case 6 for anyone who wants to play the whole of case 6 before the official launch later this month.
Justina, Owen, and Ernest:
Their character sprites have been updated to have a pure black outline. Before, Justina's art would have an outline with #141013 as the color and Ernest would have #250d1d. Now it's pure black to keep it in line with every other character. Going forward, every character will be intended to have a black outline to keep the art style consistent.
The only character without a black outline is Ferris Eubank. This was partly left unchanged because she has too many frames of animation to update in a reasonable amount of time. It's also partly left unchanged because the color is so wildly different that it fits her character. Maybe it might change in the future, but for now, she's the solo exception.
Viewing room:
The art for the viewing room has been updated. Now, the chairs in the room match the chairs seen during the interrogation sections. An example is below. The colors are slightly different for stylistic reasons, but they match better. The room is also slightly more blue because it looked nicer.
Case 4:
Harris Nubuck's statement has been updated from "Mr. Nubuck's Statement" to just "Nubuck's Statement".
Case 5:
Fixed a bug where the player couldn't complete the final lead for the case.
Case 5's second half also has more logs that are added to Justina's Investigation log.
Justina cleans out her Investigation log and Statement log halfway into case 5. Players who launch a save past this point will have the first half notes for the rest of the case.
Meg's and Joy's second statement in the statement log will now just be their full names.
Lowell's, Owen's, and Anton's car evidence has been updated to have a black outline to keep it in line with all other forms of evidence.
Case 6:
Raiden's angry animation has been updated.
Misc.
Fixed a typo that said "elf-voicing" instead of "Self-voicing".
Made the background when Justina talks to the player a bit darker without being too dark.
If there are any bugs or issues that come from this patch, please let us know. Thank you.
