Hey everyone!
The HEART ABYSS team is here! We haven’t just been sitting around. We’ve been hard working on prepp an Open Playtest for you! Starting today, you can dive headfirst into Leon’s journey.
A Whole New Level! You’ll get access to the "Iwamoto’s Mines" ― the second level of the game, where Leon finds himself after escaping Masta’s mansion in the Prologue.
Overhauled Combat System:
- Dash-Parry: We’ve added a parry mechanic tied to your dash.
- Refined Tempo: We slowed things down just a bit to make the combats clearer and juicier.
- Expanded Move List: Leon now has an uppercut, a down-thrust, and a heavy attack.
Let’s see how it works in your hands!
New Threats:
Hidden in the dark corners of the mines are not one, not two, but four new types of enemies.
And, of course, a new boss. He’s not just huge; he’s a total curveball. Let’s just say he’s the last thing you’d expect to find in the mines of feudal Japan.
Good luck making it out of that meat grinder!
To help you with that, Leon gains his first ability ― Electro Strike. Learn how to use it, and start carving through enemies with powerful bursts of energy.
We’ve also added several new platforming mechanics. We are sure that they’ll definitely come to you!
And of course ― more story. You’ll uncover a piece of the HEART ABYSS world, Leon’s past, and the forces standing against him.
Still here?! Go hit those Like and Comment buttons, and go ahead to conquer the mines of Iwamoto!
Once you’ve hacked every enemy to pieces, hop into our Discord to share your impressions and report any bugs you find. And don’t forget to Wishlist the game!
With love,
The HEART ABYSS Team
