1. About the R Shortcut
Since the game requires constructing a large number of buildings, it is recommended to use the R key to speed up operations. Pressing R once repeats the last building you constructed, allowing you to quickly place multiple identical structures in succession.
Note: Before starting the game, switch your input method to English mode. Otherwise, pop‑ups from Chinese pinyin or other input methods may appear and disrupt your gameplay.
2. Starting Strategy
You begin with very few resources.
In the early phase, you must ensure a steady supply of these four critical resources:
Wood – produced by Lumberyards
Vegetables – produced by Vegetable Farms
Money – earned through Markets
Population – provided by Small Residences
Therefore, at the start, you should continuously build batches of Lumberyards, Vegetable Farms, Markets, and Small Residences to keep these four resources growing in a dynamic balance while increasing their total amounts over time.
3. Dynamic Balance of Resources
Infinite Construction is a borderless sandbox city‑builder set in a post‑war town reconstruction scenario. There are 18 resource types in total. The core strategy is to grow your resources while maintaining a dynamic balance among them. Also, pay attention to the layout and spacing between different buildings – leaving appropriate gaps makes your town more visually pleasing.
What does “dynamic balance” mean?
In this game, after a building is placed, it automatically consumes certain resources to produce others. If one resource runs out, the dependent resources will stop being produced. Thus, different buildings are interdependent.
For example, a Lumberyard requires Vegetables from Vegetable Farms to produce Wood. If Vegetables run out, the Lumberyard cannot produce Wood either.
For each specific building type, you can check its per‑minute consumption and production rates by clicking on any built instance of that building in the game.
