Every weapon in EVE Vanguard starts with a simple question: who built it?
In the latest episode of the EVE Vanguard Uplink Podcast, members of the development team discuss the philosophy behind the game's growing arsenal and how weapon design is shaped by the identities, technologies, and aesthetics of New Eden's empires.
The conversation explores why EVE Vanguard began with familiar weapon archetypes despite its far future setting, and how those foundations allow the team to gradually introduce more specialized and distinctly sci-fi designs over time.
Players will also get a closer look at the thinking behind faction specific weapons. Rather than creating a single style and applying different logos, each empire influences how a weapon looks, feels, and functions. From practical engineering to advanced energy based designs, the goal is for every weapon to feel like it belongs in the wider EVE universe.
The discussion also touches on the shared technology that connects Vanguard to their weapons, how the team approaches authenticity in weapon design, and some of the challenges involved in creating firearms that feel both grounded and uniquely EVE.
For those interested in the intersection of gameplay, lore, and visual design, this episode offers a look at the decisions shaping the future of EVE Vanguard's arsenal.
