Hey Everyone!
The long awaited controller support update is here! Currently the tested controls are for an Xbox controller, but it should work fine on other controllers too. The UI Glyphs are only for Xbox as of now.
This update took quite a while because I reworked the Input System entirely so that keyboard and controller inputs can do the same actions. Along with this, I've had to rework on the menus so that they can be navigated through a controller.
I've made a few miscellaneous changes/fixes as well:
Fixed some sounds playing multiple times at once
Improved the reading documents panel so it looks nicer
Slight improvements on the panels that show controls
Some special news
I was initially not going to add more updates to this game, but I wanted to learn how to integrate controllers. "Why?" You might ask. Well it's generally good to make games controller friendly BUT...
It's also because I'm working on a new game!
This game will not be horror. I like to try new genres everytime. I want to make it a lot more action packed and fun that still follows a good plot because I love having an interesting tale to tell. I've not announced it yet, but please do check out my socials if you want to know more.
Thanks to everyone who supported Blinding Oversight by either playing it or sharing about it. It's been a big learning step to my journey and I'm excited to make a lot more things in the future! ːluvː
