Dear Researchers,
Before Fate has been updated to v1.0.148.
This update continues to focus on performance stability, the audio system, companion orb movement, trading and resource acquisition, UI display, and equipment display issues.
Performance and Stability Improvements
・Applied a targeted fix for an issue where some devices with high-performance CPUs could experience unexpectedly low frame rates.
・Changed the default frame rate limit to unlimited, with V-Sync enabled by default, to help improve frame rate behavior on certain devices.
・Continued optimizing runtime logs and certain underlying call logic to reduce unnecessary performance overhead.
・Optimized memory allocation in parts of the weapon firing process, reducing the chance of additional stuttering during combat.
・Optimized the end-check logic for particle effects, reducing repeated scans and extra scheduling overhead.
・Fixed an issue where audio system settings were not being saved correctly, which could cause periodic GC overhead.
・Adjusted footprint generation and disappearance timing to reduce overlapping footprints and unnecessary object creation.
Audio System Improvements
・Optimized the event handling logic of the audio system.
・Adjusted the caching and parsing of certain audio events to reduce extra overhead when they are triggered frequently.
Interaction and Visual Improvements
・Improved the movement behavior of the companion orb. Its movement should now appear smoother and less stuttered.
・Optimized the layout and display of some UI elements.
Trading and Resource Acquisition Improvements
・Boss-exclusive drop materials can now be duplicated through the Chrono Merchant’s “Duplicate” function once it has been unlocked, by consuming the corresponding trade items.
・This adjustment is intended to reduce the frustration caused by repeated dungeon runs when probability-based drops do not appear.
・Merchant trade items now refresh after teleportation.
Bug Fixes
・Fixed an issue where the shield accessory was missing from Dwight’s trade list, preventing players from purchasing it.
・Fixed the related issue where the corresponding equipment archive entry could not be unlocked properly.
・Fixed an issue where some players could unexpectedly lose Mirror Shards after summoning Halu in dungeons.
・Fixed an issue in the town and mine areas where some building objects did not become transparent together with the rest of the building.
Text Improvements
・Continued polishing some multilingual text.
Thank you for your feedback and support.
We will continue monitoring performance across different hardware environments and keep improving the overall gameplay experience based on player feedback.
