Customise Character
Added an early iteration of player character customisation: a Customise Character screen on the main menu where you pick a build, face, complexion, hair and facial hair.
Added a wardrobe to the Customise Character screen: six streetwear and formalwear outfits, with tops, bottoms, shoes and headwear picked separately so any shirt goes with any trousers.
Player
Added a parachute backpack: with it equipped, hold jump while falling to drift down slowly and land safely.
UI
Added a small soft dot above nearby furniture that opens a screen (storage, crafting and production benches, planters, shops); it hides while the piece is being dragged or is still settling.
Changes
Enemies
Changed staff hit reactions so they flinch from the side and body part that was struck, build up a stagger bar that knocks them off balance when it fills, and shrug off hits mid-swing, so fights read as an exchange instead of a stun-lock.
Changed how enemies notice you, so that one distant footstep is ignored but a few in a row, a heavy landing or a crash of furniture brings them over to look, to make sneaking a matter of how much noise you make rather than whether you made any.
Changed an enemy that is fighting you to keep fighting while it can see you; it only gives up once you are out of sight and quiet, or once you have led it far from its post.
Inventory
Changed the inventory's character preview to a live 3D view instead of a streamed picture, so it turns smoothly and shows what you are wearing as you change it.
Fixes
Cheats
Fixed the free-look camera bringing up the loading screen and hiding the world behind it.
Co-op
Fixed guests seeing lower ceilings than the host: the world data sent to joining players was missing the per-tile ceiling, difficulty and hazard layers, so every guest ceiling sat at the base height.
Enemies
Fixed melee enemies running alongside a player who is holding an item without ever swinging; the held item was punching a hole in the navigation mesh under the player.
Menus
Fixed an issue where Escape did nothing on the Tab handbook, despite the panel saying it would close it. Escape and the gamepad Back button now close it as well as a second press of Tab.
Known issues
Breakage
Some furniture turns flat grey once it is smashed, instead of keeping its colours.
Co-op
Furniture flashes when a drag starts and again when it settles.
Very rarely a guest cannot pick up a piece of furniture that just appeared in front of them.
When friends join a loaded save, some rooms have a different ceiling height for them than for the host - and it is solid, so you can end up on different floors of the same room.
Menus
The menus can feel sluggish and the cursor lags behind the mouse.
Store
Elevators don't respond - pressing the button does nothing, so you can't ride between floors.
Some furniture spawns badly placed - floating near steps, lying down, or facing the wrong way.
Aisle sign lettering and framed photos z-fight at some angles - the text flickers as you walk past.
Railings generate along edges with no drop, and are missing from some real ones.
Standing beside a staircase, the ends of its steps show through the wall as a diagonal row of wooden strips climbing the next room's wall.
Some checkout counters and framed paintings flicker as you move - two surfaces are fighting over the same spot, not a missing texture.
