Hey everyone! It's been a busy month so let's just dive right into the good stuff!
First off some cool passive abilities for two handed weapons. Pierce for two handed spears, and cleave for two handed axes. What should two handed swords do?

The next was giving some attention to the main menus. There is a nice simple little animation at the intro sliding the characters in, as well as a parallax effect that follows your mouse!

New updated settings page as well that will be available during the main menu + mid battle, with a few new settings, and hotkeys coming soon TM.

Changelog
- Pierce - Two handed lance allows hitting two units in a row.
- Cleave - Two handed axe allows hitting two adjacent units.
- Main menu animated! Characters now charge into the screen and have a parallax effect after.
- New Settings page implemented.
- Updated the level up UI to be consistent with the rest of the new UIs as well as snappier + some added animations to improve the feel.
- Blood effects toggle + screen shake toggle in settings. Frame rate slider also included for those that were seeing performance issues.
- Blood effects will now slowly fade out instead of disappearing.
- Fixed a bug with the taunt abilities not working multiple times in a row.
- Fixed a bug where enemy AI would never attack from rocks (disadvantageous terrain), even if it was their only choice.
- Fixed a bug with ranged weapon detection. This is in preparation of implemented bows and the archer class!
Future
- Complete overhaul of the prologue chapter. Main feedback from the demos was too much talk, and not enough action. The player will be playing through the capture of Wesley to set the stage for a larger conflict. Chapter 1 will remain the same.
- Bows!
- Archer class to use said bows!
- Implement remaining passive abilities for one handed lances (can only be countered by other lances) and axes (ignore 25% of targets armor).
- Redoing the turn system to be just based on END (for real this time).
- Gotta update the Steam store page with the new progress and maybe some gifs.
Hoping through all of this to release a new build of the demo. I'm thinking after I overhaul the prologue chapter so I can get everyone's feedback on that. Hope you all are having a great holiday season!
Best,
Eldin T.
