🛠️ Update Patch Notes
This update brings new systems to ride along on your late-night shifts, plus a smoother, more refined driving feel.
[New Content & Systems]
NPC Affinity System Added: Your Assistant and Boss now have affinity levels. Stay on their good side by keeping an eye on your relationships!
Expanded Dialogue: The Assistant and Boss now have plenty more to say — stories, nagging, and everything in between. We've added a wide range of new situational and branching lines.
Smarter Assistant Behavior: The Assistant now acts on their own. If the shift runs into overtime, they'll reposition themselves, and once the day's work is done, they'll head home without looking back.
Motion Blur On/Off Option: You can now toggle the screen's motion blur effect to your preference. Go with whatever's easier on your eyes.
[Vehicle Handling Improvements]
Smoother Steering: We've removed the abrupt, jerky snap that used to hit the moment you turned the wheel. Cornering now feels smooth and weighty, just like a real car.
Road Popping Fixed: Fixed an issue where vehicles would bounce around when going over speed bumps and curbs.
Per-Vehicle Ride Tuning: Softened the overly stiff, jarring reactions some vehicles had over bumps.
Stable Flat-Road Driving: Overall handling on regular roads has been refined to feel smoother and more stable.
Steering Wheel Animation: While driving, the in-car steering wheel now turns in real time to match your input.
[Bug Fixes]
Crash Fix: Fixed a critical bug that could occasionally crash the game while loading a new day.
NPC Presentation Fix: Corrected the logic where character animations and overhead speech bubbles would misalign or display incorrectly.
[Optimization & Misc]
Memory (RAM) Optimization: Reduced memory usage for a smoother, more stable experience even during long sessions behind the wheel.
Thank you for playing our Designated Driver Simulator. We'll keep improving based on your valuable feedback. 🚕
