Patch Notes: V0.1C 27th January 2024:
Another patch for all you 'enjenirs' out there! One of the main focuses of this patch was a revamp of the save system! Now the campaign has autosave!
Thanks again to everyone for giving us feedback, it's massively appreciated!
And remember, if you enjoyed the game, please consider leaving us a review on Steam - it doesn't need to be wordy (at all) it makes a huge difference to smaller indie games like ours! :)
Full patch notes below:
- All levels and missions are now unlocked by default for everyone!
- We have added “Autosaving” into the campaign mode, which means your game saves after each mission! This should drastically reduce people losing progress if they crash or Alt-F4. It is still recommended not to Alt-F4 ;)
- We’ve also added the saving of structures when you leave mid-mission. This will allow players to stop a mission, and come back and finish it at another time, without losing any progress.
- Your structures for all missions will remain visible while in the mission selection mode - allowing you to admire all of your structures at the same time!
- We have added a Potato Spawner into the Sandbox mode, allowing you to spawn a barrel that spawns infinite potatoes. We’ve also allowed you to adjust the lifespan of a potato (i.e before they disappear) to allow you to do some cool stuff, but also optimise performance! This is done with alt+ scroll wheel by default!
- We’ve refined and improved bombs - both in how they work, and also the visual effect of the explosion - with new added particle effects for each explosion. You can also now set a specific timed delay (alt+ scroll wheel) on each bomb for coordinated destruction!
- The third person character has had some ragdoll/physics improvements to stabilise him further when running and walking.
- The character’s climbing has also been improved, with a rework of the different climbing forces, his “grab hitbox” adjusted to make it easier to grab things, as well as and the general physics around how he grabs and climbs things.
- We have added a new guide mode for the character, which highlights his hands in green when he is attached to something. This shows where and when his hand is attached, but also the direction of the pivot point of his hand. This has been enabled by default for the Tutorial and CPD Levels (to help new players adjust to the climbing) and is accessed on other maps using the Guide Key (G), which toggled through the different guide options.
- Fixed a bug that caused the character’s hands to jank out when grabbing propellers.
- Various bugs have been fixed throughout the game!
Also, we will soon be opening up the Beta to the public who want to opt in, for more info - stay tuned in the Discord server! We are also taking suggestions for features to add to the game!
