This spring update includes a number of features that required changes to the main programming. I’ve been testing across various Window 10/11 computers for the past couple months but if you see anything out of the ordinary please reach out to me on discord to report.
Export Maps
• Better memory overflow protection
• Changed most of script for rendering maps and 3d immersive images to capture more detail in geometry, texture, and lighting. Example: A 200ppi image in this version may have more detail represented than a 200ppi image in previous versions. Export time is increased and file sizes will be larger as a result.
GUI
• With the amount of content increasing it felt like a secondary menu system was needed. I have added a ‘3D’ tab to the left side of the screen (and moved the 2D tab over as well). The 3D tab menu has category buttons and search windows to quickly find what you are looking for.
• With the ongoing evolution of the blueprint system I did relocate a couple items from the bottom tool palette to accommodate.

Display
• Rebuilt code to better support a windowed mode for JAMM. Note app may run slower now if other programs are running in windows behind it.
Models
• 28 cactus families
• 10 shrubs with flowers
• Rock formations (cuesta, flatiron, clusters, stairs)
• Formal Garden

Blueprints
• Added models:
39 more floor types
40 columns
28 roofs that you can stretch
4 chimneys
Adobe style components
Other misc models
• More menus to better organize content (Roofs / Floors / Columns / Walls / Props / Stairs)
• Import / Export blueprints v0.5
Now you can reuse blueprints in a scene or between maps
Includes being able to merge blueprints together into one
Eg. Create room blueprints and place them onto the scene. Then merge them together into a building blueprint if you wish. Walls and floors will cleanup as needed.
• Move or copy blueprint contents between floors to make quicker buildings

Grids
• Added 4 new white grid types to use
Performance
• Better use of threads and garbage collection to keep app from slowing down too much after making many maps in one session.
Misc
• Added Discord link to main menu to make it easier to find. Follow progress of future development, report bugs, and suggest features at this location.
• Updated tutorial menu in app to help walk through new features.
Bugs
• Changed how “default map size” was set. Preferences are saved when you save a map instead of creating a map (just in case the map size you are making is not supported by your hardware. This also led to creating a quick intro screen to allow you to set your map size at start.
