Development Update

Hello everyone, it has been about two and a half months since the last community post, and we thought it was time for one as we are still hard at work to bring a proper update to PuckOFF.

What we currently have going on as of February 14th:

  • 15 new additions

  • 35 counts of bug fixes, ranging from borderline undetectable deviations to desktop crashes

  • 5 counts of tweaks to existing content (QOL / variants etc.)

More tweaks and bug fixes are bound to be added as we do testing and development.

And what we hope to bring to the table on top of the other ones:

  • We are actively working on integrating more Steam-specific features (cards, badges etc.), but as expected, our art-pipeline is not exactly on-par with the game's updating. We would really like to get rid of the placeholder art, but only time will tell how it ends up.

  • The camera systems over the lifetime of the game have been a pain for everyone, including us. With much more time for this update compared to the last one we will keep working on updating our camera systems so that we can support both singleplayer and cooperative play, regardless of player count or sides.

  • We'll also be doing a bit of housekeeping on the store page to better reflect the current state of the game. While this may not be directly relevant for the update, we can assure everyone it does not take time away from the actual development.

For the eager play testers we will very likely hold a period of early access to gather feedback and squash any bugs we may have missed during our own testing. Those dates will be announced separately here and on our Discord channel so stay tuned.

Happy Olympics to everyone and go team Finland!
