Happy New Year, Animators! Today I have one more, big update to balance out the first 8 levels before I start getting into Level 9 in the next update!
Office Computer
Your Office computer is now more functional as a computer and has different Apps. These Apps include some features that were previously just in the office as well as some new ones.
New App - Swag Bag
- This Allows you to use Ads and Deals to directly boost your Fan Rating and your Rotted Potatoes
- You can also use the big Fan Swag Bag if you are dealing with a Fan Demand, but in that case, you won't get the Fan Rating boost.
New App - OMBd (Online Media Bulk Data)
- This keeps track of all the Media your Studio creates.
- Total Webisodes, TV Episodes, and Films
- Currently Airing TV
- Notable Media (finishing TV Seasons, and Award-Nominated Films)
Revised as an App - Soul Perks
- Still unlock at level 3 as an App
- Some Soul Perk values have been increased
- New Soul Perk - Fan Rating Minimum: If you use this Perk, your Fan rating won't go below the minimum. Rank 1 is 15%, Rank 2 is 30% and Rank 3 is 45%.
Revised as an App - Inventory Market
This previously unlocked at level 5, but now it unlocks at level 4.
Previously the inventory selection was limited, but now it includes all 8 Production items including Animation, Edits and Approvals.
You can also now Buy inventory as well as Sell it, but Supply & Demand now impacts the price of goods.
- The more you sell of an item, the less Value it has
- The more you buy of an item, the more Value it has.
- Extreme Values will renormalize over time.
- Normal Values will fluctuate slightly.
Help / Mom's Hints
This is a revamp of the previous "Help Room". This new format allows you to read the help hints while still playing.
Tic Tac Toe
You can play against the AI while you wait. You gain nothing by doing this except the self-satisfaction of trying to win. Go you - I believe in you.
Bankruptcy
While not actually an App, I changed this screen to be more consistent with the new and recent computer screens, so rther than getting a message from your Banker, it continues the theme of an Entertainment article being written about your bankruptcy.
Finding Balance Award Minigame
The Level 8 Awards Show minigame is now active.
At Level 7, things go as they currently are with "For Your Pontification" followed by the "Interview Hot Seat". After that you go onto the Awards Ceremony. At Level 8, however, you must compete in a third minigame before moving onto the Ceremony.
- Similar to 'Catch a Break', except now you have a bucket on either side of you.
- Catch Rotted Potatoes in the left bucket and catch Fan Ratings in the right bucket. If you catch the wrong one, the game ends.
- The goal is to reach 100 Potato Points, but you must keep the Potato and Fan scores within 10 points of each other, or the game ends.
- If the game ends before you reach 100 Potato Points, you will get points for how many you caught, but you'll also lose some Fan Rating.
- Win up to 500 Award Points or Lose up to 25% Fan Rating
Random Changes
- Updated Office Levels to be more clear, fit the space better and include your Game Mode (Easy, Medium, Hard)
- Added a Sound FX for turning Coffee Turbo on or off!
- Production Clipboards now have a "Click To Close" sticker
- Once your Corruption is at 10% or above, Hiring Fees increase along with your Corruption Level.
- Significantly increased the Speed boost an Employee gets as they Rank up.
- Increased the Speed boost for the Department for the Week
- To balance the new Market option, Soul Restoring now costs 2,500 Themes
- Fan Demands
- Reduced the frequency of Fan Demands (level 8+)
- Fan Conventions help hold of Fan Demands for twice as long
- Fan Swag Bags now also take care of Fan Demands, but they aren't as effective as making a Fan Film
- Viral
- You can now go Viral at any Level, provided your Fan Rating is high enough, but you still won't get Boycotted until level 6. The Viral effects below Level 6 are also less than when you hit Level 6 or 7.
- Viral multiplier was slightly increased
- To-Do List
- Level 5 - Reduced RP requirements to 15%
- Level 6 - Added "Office Ad App" to the To-Do List. This makes sure they are checking out the new App, and also helps boost the Rotted Potatoes score.
- Seasons of TV
- Previously, if a Series is renewed, you had to manually start the next Season.
- Now, as soon as you've build enough inventory, if you're still within the renew window, the Season will automatically renew.
Random Fixes
- Fixed a glitch when you dump the Coffee, Turbo turns off, but the graphics stayed lit up
- Various graphical and text clarifications
- Fixed a couple broken pathways in the Producer Meeting
- Fixed a glitch where if you restart the game while on the first Mom Tutorial prompt, you wouldn't receive money the second time.
- Fixed some issues where the "Finger of Mom" would layer strangely if you opened the Media Tablet at random points.
- More Hot Seat questions.
- Cleaned up the Employee Clipboard a little
- Fixed a glitch that would cause some Employee Salary Perks to not take full effect
- Fixed a glitch where the Leveling Up sequence would get interrupted if you activate it immediately after finishing a round of the Matching Game
- Fixed a glitch where retraining an Employee would cause the game to crash if the Ranking Up Perks had been used
