Mage Tower Closed Beta
Hey everyone, let's get right into it! I'm announcing that the Mage Tower closed beta (called a Steam Playtest) will begin Saturday, January 8th. You can come back to this Steam Page then to download it. A pre-signup link will be up on the page as well within the next week. Here are the details:
-The Steam Playtest is free.
-The gameplay is essentially feature-complete (minus 1 biome).
-This will still be a beta, so there will be bugs and balance issues to fix, and limited audio implemented.
-Streaming will be allowed.
-After the Steam Playtest starts, I will fix bugs and balance the game while adding fun story stuff.
-The game will transition from Beta into Early Access once the story and audio are implemented, hopefully within a few months.
So we'll see you Saturday, January 8th!
Class Select Screen Artwork
Now it's time to show off this awesome art I commissioned from Manthos Lappas (https://www.artstation.com/manth0s). This art will be the Class/Corpse Selection screen for the Mage Tower Steam game. It features our hero Gideon, as the Thought Necromancer Ventra helps him steal the thoughts and skills of a corpse before the run starts:
So cool! I will be animating it much like the artwork in the trailer.
Discord Launch
The Discord has been launched! Join the Mage Tower Discord Here. It probably won't be terribly active until the January 8th beta release, but there is some discussion + spoilers for the upcoming physical expansion (pre-purchaseable here: Mage Tower: Call of Zadeus + Expansion Bundle.
So yeah, lots of exciting Mage Tower stuff coming soon! I can't wait for everyone to try out this game that has been years in the making!
