NEW MAP DROP & ROADMAP SHIFTS
Today we’re pushing a fresh update containing the next map for Episode 5.
Within a skeletal palace, a ravenous living engine is slowly devouring the once-volatile moon of IO.
Knee-deep in its writhing guts, with your sanity slipping away, there’s only one option left...
Payback.
Turn the Sol-Nephlim’s own flesh-and-bone technology against them, avoid boiling lakes of lava, crush endless shambling hordes, and uncover the mysteries buried inside this corrupted world.
Will you make it through without feeding yourself to the Feasting Engine?
Watch a trailer from the beginning of Chapter 5.
DEEP INSIDE THE FEASTING ENGINE
As we announced before, our plan was to have the entirety of Episode 5 in your hands by now. However, as work progressed on the back half of the game, our approach to designing these final two chapters began to shift. But we’re not showing up empty-handed.
Here’s what we’ve prepared for you in this update:
Brand-New Episode 5 Map: The next level of Episode 5 is live and playable right now.
Femur Breaker: A grotesque living weapon which uses razor sharp bone and caustic acid as its ammo. It's guaranteed to give your foes an explosive experience!
Healing Pools: An oasis of healing powers which will prove vital to your survival.
The Geophage: Avoid being roasted alive within this massive complex deep within Io that harvests the moon's magma.
The Flesh Recycler: Sacrifice an unending horde of shuffling Braindrones and avoid freshly spawned hostiles.
Marooned Technocrats: Learn their fate while you try to escape the bowels of the Feasting Engine.
RETHINKING THE ENDGAME: PACING & SCOPE
The closer we got to the finish line, the more we thought about it - and eventually, we decided to overhaul how we build these remaining locations.
Right now we are deliberately packing the upcoming maps with denser encounters, tighter level design, and far more deliberate combat pacing.
To give these levels the attention they require without completely derailing our production timeline, we made the call that Episode 6 will contain one map less than previous chapters.
It comes down to quality over quantity. Every area needs to pull its weight, every arena needs to justify its existence, and the design needs to hit harder than ever before.
Naturally, this shift affects our release window:
Episode 5 is now slated for completion in November.
Supplice 1.0 (Full Release & Episode 6) is moving to early next year.
We know how long you’ve been following this project and waiting for the finish line. We are genuinely grateful for the patience and trust you’ve shown us throughout Early Access.
That trust is exactly why we aren’t cutting corners at the eleventh hour. We’re pushing every pixel and mechanic as far as we can to give Supplice the brutal, focused finale it deserves.
Lock and load, and get ready for November!
