We won’t bury the lede. Maximum Football is coming to Steam Early Access on November 7th! We announced Maximum Football’s return back in 2021, and over the last three years, we have built a realistic, physics-based simulation football game from the ground up. The journey has been a long one, and we want to thank you for your patience and continued support.
November 7th marks an exciting moment for both our team and for everyone who has been eagerly waiting for Maximum Football to release.
But this isn’t the end of anything. In fact, this is just the start of the work we’ve been promising from the beginning - building the best football simulation available WITH YOU!
What is included in Early Access?
The Early Access build will be loaded with a variety of features and modes from the jump. On November 7th, you will be have access to the following:
- Exhibition Mode: Play a head-to-head match up with any of the 130 pre-made teams in Maximum Football or your own created teams.
- College Dynasty: Take over as your program’s Coach and Athletic Director in this fully customizable mode. Scout, recruit, gameplan, and manage your college’s football budget and facilities to lead your team to glory. If you missed our Dynasty Deep Dive, you can check it out here.
- Online Multiplayer: Face off against other Maximum Football players in online head-to-head.
- The Maximum Football Customization Suite: Create a team, create a player, and edit every aspect of your team in Maximum Football’s robust and unparalleled creation studio. All available within the game!
More modes will follow shortly, such as Franchise Mode (professional football), with much more planned over the coming months and years as Maximum Football continues to evolve. Your feedback will help shape the game and balance the competitive play, so we encourage you to provide feedback and input via the official Maximum Football Discord and X to assist in creating the best football game possible.
Why Early Access on Steam only?
Early Access is an important tool for us to gather feedback directly from you, the community, so we can make the most realistic, physics-based football simulation game possible by the time we are ready for our big release on console and PC 1.0. As the community gets their hands on Maximum Football for the first time in November, there are certain to be improvements, bugs, and additional features that you will want to address, and we will use this to make the game better.
Steam’s Early Access program gives us the ability to 1. Get Maximum Football in your hands faster and 2. take your feedback and iterate on the game more quickly over time to help us reach full release faster. By the time we reach 1.0 on other platforms, Maximum Football will have changed for the better based on early adopters’ feedback.
