About the Street Fighter Series
The first game in the Street Fighter series was released in arcades in 1987. In 1991, Street Fighter II received much praise thanks to its innovative match system, becoming a huge hit. Since then, the series has recorded sales of more than 50 million copies (as of June 2023) in the 35 years since its first release, and continues to be a worldwide best seller. In recent years, it has also gained a presence as a leader in the competitive fighting game genre of esports. The latest in the series, Street Fighter 6 (released on June 2, 2023) has already sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.
About Street Fighter 6
Street Fighter 6, released on June 2, 2023, is the latest entry in the world-class Japanese-developed fighting game series. In addition to well-known fan favorites such as Ryu and Chun-Li, a variety of new and interesting fighters have joined the mix. While the game includes the advances in multiple battle elements that traditional fighting game fans want, it also offers new modes like World Tour and Battle Hub and an easier-to-use modern control type, all of which are aimed more towards beginners and gamers who feel that fighting games are difficult.
