Hello and welcome to Post Industrial’s devlogs!
If you are wondering what post industrial means, let me explain. Paraphrasing definitions which can be found in the Internet, post industrialism is when the economy is no longer based on heavy industry but service industry like serving food, entertainment and so on.
What is more, because of fast technology development, new, modern factories are made and at the same time the old ones are becoming useless. That makes an opportunity for businesses to adapt it as a new place where people can find some services. What kind of, you may ask. I will tell you about it in the next devlog! But don’t worry it’s not the end of this episode.
There are plenty of types of factories which can be renovated as for example chemical, food, textiles, furniture factories and many more. As abandoned, they can be devastated and full of trash. But sometimes in this trash you may find a real treasure. Old and broken things might not be worth so much but if you find something interesting you may try to renovate this. Fixed and refreshed items can be used to decorate the space you renovate. It can add some unique atmosphere to that place and be a connection between new and old life of this location. What is more, it could be very useful if you plan to make a museum because you can use it as a museum object!
That’s all for today. Hope you like that. Don’t forget to join our Discord because we add there special posts about post industrial places worth visiting! If you have any suggestions about the topic of the next devlog, feel free to tell us in the comments!
