tried to make a lot of controller backend system redesigns in this update to prevent any bugs, and also improve everything. also if you want to use the right joystick to hover over ui when using controller, it won't automatically disappear until you walk again now.
tried to address npcs and pets being stuck and frozen, let me know if this fixed the issues you were having.
controller and cursor
- rebuilt the mouse-vs-controller brain from scratch. no more mode flips
- put the mouse down, flick the stick, snapping's instantly back
- the cursor only steps aside when you walk
- snapping can't jump to off-screen buttons anymore
- 270 buttons across 17 menus now snap with the stick
- the stuck gift and can't-buy hands are gone
- fishing can't leave the windows cursor stuck on screen
- the doubled controller cursor was made into one cursor
- b in the load and delete menus steps back properly
- closing a menu with b can't make you jump anymore
- shoulder cycling treats the tool slot as one stop again
- lists auto-scroll when you snap toward hidden items
- hold a direction and the cursor keeps stepping, speeding up
- the d-pad scrolls every menu at a readable pace now
- L3 near your pet commands the pet, never toggles running
- the auto tool now works on the intro roadblock
- the movement helper shows again on new games
- d-pad direction icons repainted so you can read them
- boss door, brianna rescue, barn dance, auction, stuck achievements fixed
translations
- japanese, chinese and korean dialog translation improvements
- chinese got custom scratch card artwork translations
pets
- frozen teleporting pets hopefully fixed for real. thanks Vivaldi and Allie
- the follow toggle can't silently die anymore. escorts rescued too
- tried to fix pets getting stuck running in place
everything else
- intro new games get the frying pan and starter seeds
- new fridges start with eggs and corn for cooking
- old saves can't duplicate your cabinets anymore
- rapid veggie growth and fruitful growth actually work now
- refining queues hold 999 and make a nicer pop sound
- new players stuck in rivers get told to jump out
- two outdated tutorials retired. the list closed the gap
- esc closes the calendar and the journal properly
- missing furniture errors on new games fixed
- lost tools come home from storage with a note
- the stuck cooking tutorial completes now and heals old saves
- plus a pile of crash guards and error fixes
