Creator Spotlight

This is a really fun one! Our resident creator, Wugoni, made a video to advertise Nin Online. It's creative, fun and to the point. Have a watch!

Today's housekeeping update fixes a ton of small inconveniences and visual flaws as well as polishes existing features further.

Characters now have Squish and Squash animations when jumping, falling and landing

This is just animation 101! This gives the character more life and makes movements feel more real. It especially helps with jumping on the spot not looking like the character just got momentum to jump out of nowhere.
Critical Hits now show damage in a different color and shake
They are the same color as the critical animation! Critical damage done to you have a different look as well.
HUD Buttons (& More Menu) are now exposed to localization For a long time now (since 2013 actually) the buttons have had the text built into the graphic. This meant that we could not translate them for each language. It was a tedious job to get it moved, so it's taken awhile.

(Backend) Optimized Pathfinding Algorithms
Improved Furniture Rotation animation to spin clockwise when rotating them
Added Reject button to shared mission prompts
Improved loading of first map to warm up textures in login screen
Improved Running animation to show all frames more accurately to how it was originally designed Up until now, it's been using the walk animation frame stepping on the run animation, but the run animation was designed to be used differently. This caused running to look a lot like floating.
Legs of running characters no longer flail around when moving while falling
World Map now centers on default map when current map doesn't exist in any world map
Redesigned Settings Menu to have tabs on the side
(GMs) Moving furniture with Warp Target now uses same new animation
Rats, Blood Puppets, Cursed Host and Evil Spirits and Snakes now use a smarter pathfinding algorithm

Fixed Mission Sharing (Regression from last update)
Fixed NPC shadows on elevated tiles
Fixed players on your map falling from the sky when you login
Fixed a visual glitch where Logout Warning Prompt appearing for a single frame when you return to main menu, in the main menu
(GMs) Fixed game hanging indefinitely when warping with Escort mission
(Admin) Fixed layout of equipment list in Player Editor
(Hopefully) Fixed another login crash
