Hey everyone!
thank you all for waiting! We're excited to release our first major update: The Summer Season!
This update includes:
30+ new summer plants and mushrooms
74 new recipes to unlock! (they're not on curiosity nook yet, that will need a bit more time sorry!)
3 new friendship tiers for each character (approx. 90 new quests!)
a new character (Kiano the tailor)
a new area with a big lake!
paddle boarding!
45 new community projects to do (like decorating the town!)
15 new outfit pieces (using dyes!)
We expect an additional 14h gameplay, making the total gameplay of the combined Spring & Summer season 30+ hours!
We also improved existing systems such as:
Added bulk cooking
Community projects (most of them) now unlock on the NEXT DAY, not immediately (we're refinding this system more in the future)
Added the third cooking slot to unlock at beginning of summer season
Storefront overhaul: buying items with other currencies not just coins
Friendship UI overhaul: hints on what you need to do to progress quests
Characters now have their cooking bonuses working (the first bonus out of two)
Taking screenshots with F12 is now working
NPCs now appear in town after decorating - this is something we will improve a lot more in the future!
Updated foraging health thresholds
From 66% -> 45% remaining for orange
From 33% -> 20% remaining for red
Removing trash now gives 25 Curiosity Points instead of 1 coin, capped to 1000 a day with sorting
Photo Mode now saves photos to steam if the photo was not a plant identification (so you can take pictures of pretty places!)
Rebalanced costs of nearly all community projects
In the next patches we will:
Add the Honesty Stalls (we just didn't have the time now but will start working on them Monday 1st Dec)
Remove foraging cards from the patches and instead have a button so you don't get spoilered
Lots of small improvements such as better settings, herbalism favour quests and more.
If there are important improvements you want to remind us about, that we should tackle next, let me know in the comments! We are dedicating December to these improvements before we start working on the Autumn chapter.
We hope you love this chapter and see how much we've improved the game already :D
Have fun playing!
