TOTAL GOAL
The best place to start is the fantasy.
What do you love about MOBAs?
What makes them so fun?
You want to be an epic champion.
Fighting big monsters and cunning foes.
Use powerful abilities and spells.
Outsmart and outmanoeuvre your enemies.
The image above shows it just perfectly
But why do we not have games that give us the experience?
Monarchs Dawn is the answer.
I want to make a game that makes you feel like the hero. That puts you inside the bombastic fights. That lets you use parkour on the entire map, just like you would do in a fantasy world.
I want to make the ultimate MOBA.
Ruff steps
The Ultimate MOBA is a titanic task.
For an overview, we will give you basic steps in development from barely playable to a full game.
The first is the minimal playable game.
A champion, minions, towers and basic abilities for the player.
The second stage adds more fun.
More champions and abilities, your character gets stronger by slaying foes. New players will have an easy time learning the basics through a tutorial.
Generally a good experience.
The final step is reached when the game has all you can wish from a MOBA, specially a great amount of choices in playstyles and strategy.
Because the difference between good playable and full game is great, we might add more milestones.

Current state and near future
We have nearly passed die minimal playable state.
Towers, Minions, Abilities and parkour movement.
Only the model for the first character needs to be put into the game. I am working that specifically.
Stage 2 is not far away either. Ranged Minions already help out their melee counterparts. Monsters, Levels and gold are well known to us from the unity version.
This leaves Monsters, a bigger arena and 4 champions.
The hardest part will be the arena, no doubt. We created 4 champions in the unity version that we can copy over. The main problem is with the models and their animations. If we can carry them over, great. But. If not so, it will take longer.
