Playtesting on the previous version gave some insights that needed to be applied.
Staging area
- Wheelchair in staging scene should now work more smoothly
- The avatar and the controllers should show no (much less) visual jitter
- condensed everything to one room (less useless moving)
- moved the mission select to be able to see the current mission
- moved the start mission button to make room for the mission select
- Added a cryopod to block the player until the tutorial is done (you can skip the tutorial by teleporting out of the cryopod)
- table is movable again and sync with terrain height offset (standing players will not have to kneel down anymore to reach the mission select)
- added a visual indication when all (currently known) objectives of a mission have been completed
- replaced the small hands on the controller for a disk, to 'tennis' the planets around the sun
Tutorial update
- 2 handed terrain height offset has been integrated with the normal movement.
- starting a one handed movement and picking up an item has been fixed (to conform to "you cannot move while holding an item")
- tutorial text and visualizations have been updated for the new movement system
- objective marker on second base during final combat exercise
other
- fixed : Fade in/out to black on scene changes
- added : fade out to orange when too close to objects, or below the terrain
- Stretch arms/hands for big players when reaching out to the limit of the avatar
- fixed the manual controller offset (only needed for unsupported controllers)
