Hello Survivors! This is an announcement to be public and transparent about whats been going on with development for the last year and what to be expecting.
I am PRIMAL, I am the Lead and only active developer on the project, although we have a team of greatly talented individuals who have helped in many aspects from concept to audio to design, most of them are no longer active on development and have not been for some time. I have been pushing the cart forward since late 2022 when I soft-rebooted the entire project.

Last you heard from us, we had a playtest in June 2024 which we anticipated a sizeable audience to test with, we unfortunately did not meet more than 20% of the total RSVP attendees which was a significant re-evaluation point for us :(
I then took some time to re-do the completed GDD (Game Design Document) which outlines what the final product would entail, what future dinosaurs, how progression and modes and levels would look like, etc. Once I brought this to the team we took an understanding that the rest of the game would really be worth doing if there was still a large and sizeable interest. We had reached out to a few content creators, we did not get much interest from their audiences, we also reached out to publishers, which were very reluctant to indulge in a multi-player project.
Finding ourselves at no financial help or interest we took the summer off to think some things over. Shortly after the summer I had touched on development for a few weeks leading up to October of 2024, from there I had to relief myself due to personal reasons but kept drip-feeding some development from time to time.
We now stand a 1 year 1 month after that playtest and I am able to put some more time and thought into the project, I can either continue multi-player or pursue a demo of a single-player game using the existing systems and assets.

I have arrived at a few ideas, I have nothing to confirm but what I will say is I am interested in building out a single-player demo or prototype using the existing systems since I designed the multi-player to be shifted to adjacent projects should I ever need to. The single-player would be leaning into a horror-esque branching-narrative, below is a prototype footage of a potential stealth mechanics and movement.

I know a lot of the current audience are probably looking for a multi-player experience but I want to know would a single-player experience align better or would you prefer the multi-player project as it was.
Regards, PRIMAL
